Vote to pass a bill that authorizes adult-use marijuana.

Highlights:

 

  • Prohibits the operation of an adult-use marijuana establishment in any municipality that has not voted to authorize such (Part A).

  • Authorizes an individual at least 21 years of age to purchase and possess for personal use up to 2.5 ounces of marijuana from a marijuana store or marijuana social club (Part A).

  • Authorizes an individual at least 21 years of age to purchase up to 12 immature marijuana plants or seedlings from a marijuana store or a nursery cultivation facility (Part A).

  • Authorizes an individual at least 21 years of age to grow and harvest marijuana in their own home as long as it’s not produced from more than 6 mature marijuana plants or 12 immature marijuana plants (Part A).

  • Authorizes each municipality to keep 5% of the tax revenue it generates from the sale of adult-use marijuana (Part. D).

  • Requires the Department of Administrative and Financial Services to use a tracking system to monitor the growth, harvest, sale, and disposal of adult-use marijuana (Part A).
