Vote to pass a bill that amends the conditions eligible for marijuana treatment.

Highlights:

• Amends the definition of “debilitating medical condition” that is eligible for marijuana treatment to include glaucoma, Parkinson’s disease, severe muscle spasms, intractable pain, and post-traumatic stress disorder (Sec. 1).

• Defines “intractable pain” as a state in which the cause of pain cannot be removed or otherwise treated and pain so chronic and severe as to otherwise warrant an opiate prescription (Sec. 1).

• Specifies that employers and their worker’s compensation insurers are not obligated to pay for medical marijuana claims (Sec. 1).
