Vote to pass a bill that reorganizes the University of Tennessee board of trustees.

Highlights:

• Requires the governing body of the University of Tennessee to be the Board of Trustees (Sec. 1).

• Requires the board to consist of one ex-officio voting member, who is appointed by virtue of their position at the University, and 10 voting members appointed by the Governor beginning on June 1, 2018 (Sec. 3).

• Requires the ex-officio voting member to serve as the Commissioner of Agriculture (Sec. 3).

• Establishes four advisory boards to operate at the four different University of Tennessee campuses (Sec. 12).

• Authorizes the advisory boards to make policy recommendations, but requires the  approval of the Board of Trustees before enacting any changes (Sec. 11).
