Highlights:

• Requires the Commissioner of Labor to inspect the workplace of public employers in cases of serious injury, death, or workplace violence (Sec. 2).

• Requires public employers to report the death of any individual in the workplace within 8 hours (Sec. 2).

• Requires public employers to report the injury of any individual in the workplace within 24 hours (Sec. 2).

• Defines “workplace violence” as an action, verbal, written, or physical aggression which intended to control, cause or is capable of causing death or serious bodily injury, or damage property (Sec. 1).
