• Specifies that Chapter 42.56 of state law, the Public Records Act, does not apply to the legislative branch and its houses, members, employees, and agencies (Sec. 102).

• Exempts certain records from public inspection and copying including, but not limited to, the following (Sec. 105):

• Credit card numbers and other financial information;

• Personal identifying information from personnel records;

• Records related to terrorism prevention;

• Records related to a controversy in which the state is a party; and
