Vote to concur with Senate amendments and pass a bill that prohibits performing an abortion on an individual who has been pregnant for more than 15 weeks.

Highlights:

• Prohibits a physician from performing an abortion on an individual who has been pregnant for more than 15 weeks except in medical emergencies or in cases of a severe fetal abnormality (Sec. 1).

• Defines “severe fetal abnormality” as a “life-threatening physical condition that, in reasonable medical judgement, regardless of the provision of life-saving medical treatment, is incompatible with life outside the womb” (Sec. 1).

• Requires a suspended or revoked medical license for any physician who intentionally or knowingly violates this prohibition (Sec. 1).

• Requires physicians who perform an abortion on an individual who has been pregnant for at least 15 weeks to submit a report within 15 days to the state’s health department specifying the date, method used, and reason for the procedure (Sec. 1).

Vote to pass a bill that prohibits performing an abortion on an individual who has been pregnant for more than 15 weeks.

• Prohibits a physician from performing an abortion on an individual who has been pregnant for more than 15 weeks except in medical emergencies or in cases of severe fetal abnormality (Sec. 1).

• Specifies that a violation is considered a felony and any individual convicted of such will be subject to a prison sentence of at least 1 year but not more than 10 years (Sec. 1).

• Requires physicians who perform an abortion on an individual who has been pregnant for more than 15 weeks to submit a report within 15 days of the procedure to the state’s health department specifying the date and method used as well as the reason for its necessity (Sec. 1).
