Title: Prohibits the Waste of Game Animals

  • Prohibits individuals from wasting a game animal, game bird, or game fish that has been wounded, killed, or taken during hunting (Article 2).

    • Hide;

    • Feet or paws;

    • Antlers or tusks;

    • Gallbladder;

    • Teeth;

    • Feathers;

    • Fan;

    • Beard; or

    • Spurs.

  • Defines “wasting” further as intentionally disposing of game suitable for food outdoors, abandoning killed or wounded game without attempting to retrieve it, or to transport or store game in a manner that makes it unsuitable for consumption (Article 2).

  • Requires a fine of between $500 and $2500 or imprisonment of between 10 and 100 days for wasting of big game (Article 2).

  • Requires a fine of between $100 or $1000 or imprisonment of between 10 and 100 days for wasting of all other game (Article 2).

  • Exempts fur-bearing animals, woodchucks, and groundhogs from the provisions of this legislation (Article 2).
