• Requires the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to increase the number of chemical screening devices available to CBP officers to detect and intercept fentanyl and other synthetic opioids, narcotics and psychoactive substances that are illegally imported or mailed (Sec. 3).

• Requires the CBP to designate an appropriate number of personnel, including scientists, to interpret data collected by screening devices during all operational hours (Sec. 3).
