Vote to pass a bill that amends regulations of and consumer access to marijuana.

Highlights:

• Authorizes the possession, cultivation, and supply of personal-use marijuana (Sec. 2).

• Authorizes a qualified patient with a debilitating medical condition to obtain a written certification from a healthcare professional to purchase marijuana (Sec. 2).

• Establishes the Cannabis Control Commission to regulate the marijuana industry, to issue licenses for the use and supply of marijuana, and to inspect cannabis establishments for property or practices that are in violation of the law (Sec. 2).

• Specifies that an individual may be subject to a penalty of up to $300 for a single personal-use violation (Sec. 2)

• Prohibits the consumption or smoking of marijuana in public places not authorized by law and in places where smoking tobacco is prohibited (Sec. 2).

• Requires individuals wishing to operate a cannabis establishment to obtain a license through an application provided by the Cannabis Control Commission (Sec. 2).

• Authorizes growing, harvesting, and processing industrial hemp as an agricultural product (Sec. 19).
