  • Requires a sentence of 1 year in jail  for an individual convicted of possession of marijuana between 2 and 10 pounds or between 10 and 21 live plants (Sec. 1).

  • Requires a sentence of 2 years for individuals convicted of possessing between 10 and 50 pounds of marijuana or between 21 and 51 live plants (Sec. 1).

  • Requires a minimum sentence of 1 year in jail for individuals convicted of possessing between 5 and 25 grams of salts or coca leaves (Sec. 1).

  • Requires a 4 year sentence in jail for individuals convicted of possessing between 25 and 100 grams of salts or coca leaf products (Sec. 1).

  • Requires a 1.5 year sentence in jail for individuals convicted of manufacturing, delivering, or possession with intent to manufacture amphetamine, salts, or synthetic versions of amphetamines and salts (Sec. 1).

  • Requires a sentence of 2 years in jail for possessing between 1 and 5 grams of heroin (Sec. 1).

  • Requires a sentence of 3 years in prison for possessing between 5 and 50 grams of heroin (Sec. 1).

  • Specifies that individuals convicted of possessing between 50 and 100 units of heroin, they are guilty of a felony and required to serve 5 years in jail (Sec. 1).

  • Establishes that all crimes carrying a minimum sentence have enhancing elements, which require time to be added onto the mandatory minimum sentence (Sec. 1).

  • Requires a 4 year minimum sentence for individuals convicted of 3rd degree murder, voluntary manslaughter, rape, sexual assault, and aggravated assault (Sec. 4).
