Vote to pass a bill that authorizes the transfer of public school students to private schools at no expense to students' families in the event that a public school cannot adequately meet students' needs.

Highlights:

• Authorizes school boards to enter into contracts with private schools and literary institutions to provide for the education of a student residing within a district if the student’s current school does not offer the appropriate grade level or if doing so would be in the best interest of the student (Sec. 1).
