Vote to pass a bill that establishes a new minimum wage.

Highlights:

  • Establishes the following minimum wage requirements for individuals 18 years of age or older (Sec. 4):

    • $9 in 2018;

    • $10 in 2019;

    • $11.25 in 2020;

    • $13 in 2021; and

    • $15 in 2022 and every year thereafter.

  • Prohibits tax credits from reducing an individual’s tax obligation to $0 or less (Sec. 5).

  • Specifies that any business employing less than 50 individuals qualifies for Small Business Job Creation tax credits that may amount to no more than 25% of an entity’s quarterly tax obligation (Sec. 5).
