Title: Prohibits the Disclosure of Personally Identifying Information
Vote to pass a bill that prohibits the disclosure of personally identifying information to federal agencies.
Prohibits public agencies from knowingly disclosing personally identifying information to any federal agency or official including an individual’s race, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, disability, religious affiliation or immigration status (Sec. 2).
Prohibits public agencies from collecting information regarding an individual’s religious beliefs, practices, or affiliation (Sec. 2).
Specifies that this bill does not prohibit or impede public agencies from disclosing aggregated information that cannot be used to identify individuals (Sec. 2).
Specifies that this bill does not apply when there is a threat to the public’s safety or welfare arising out of a state or national emergency (Sec. 2).
