Vote to pass a bill that establishes a state budget for fiscal year 2017-2018 and fiscal year 2018-2019
Appropriates $14.1 billion in operating funds for the 2018 fiscal year (Secs. 1-101)
Appropriates a total of $2.9 billion for capital improvement projects over two fiscal years,
Appropriates $63 million to the construction and site improvements for a new high school in Kihei and $77 million for a new East Kapolei Middle School (Sec. 30).
Appropriates $93 million to operate all the postsecondary schools within the University of Hawaii system (Sec. 30).
Appropriates $10 million to operate the University of Hawaii Community College System (Sec. 43).
Establishes that $700,000 will be put toward installing an air conditioning system at Kahului elementary school (Sec. 30).
Specifies that $70 million will be put toward the construction and expansion of the Lahaina bypass (Sec. 30).
