Title: Authorizes Alternative Methods of Execution
Vote to adopt a conference report that authorizes the use of alternative methods of execution.
Authorizes the following methods by which the death penalty may be carried out (Sec. 1):
Lethal injection using a 3-drug mixture;
Poison gas;
Electrocution; and
Firing Squad.
Authorizes the Commissioner of Corrections the discretion to select which method of execution to use (Sec. 1).
Authorizes the Commissioner of Corrections to adopt rules and regulations deemed necessary to administer and implement the provisions of this bill (Sec. 1).
