Vote to pass a bill that prohibits marijuana retailers from keeping detailed records of customers, effective immediately.

Highlights:

• Prohibits marijuana retailers from recording, retaining, or transferring any information that may be used to identify a consumer (Sec. 2).

• Authorizes retailers to obtain the name and contact information of a consumer for the purpose of notifying them about services, discounts, coupons or other marketing information as long as the consumer gives their consent to do so (Sec. 2).

• Requires marijuana retailers to destroy any information other than that described in the previous highlight within 30 days after this bill becomes effective (Sec. 3).
