Vote to prohibit Department of Health from entering into contracts with providers that perform non-federally qualified abortions.

Highlights:

• Prohibits the Department of Health from entering into a contract with, or giving grants to, any entity that performs non-federally qualified abortions or operates a facility where non-federally qualified abortions are provided (Sec. 1).

• Specifies that expenditures or grants of public funds for family planning services be made in the following order of priority (Sec. 1):

• Public entities;

• Non-public hospitals and federally qualified health centers;

• Rural health clinics;

• Non-public health providers in populations that are medically underserved; and

• Non-public health providers in areas that are not medically underserved.
