Title: Appropriates Funds for High-Speed Rail Project
Vote to concur with Senate amendments and pass a bill that specifies that the High-Speed Rail project qualifies for existing appropriations of $1.1 billion.
Specifies that the High-Speed Rail project qualifies for existing appropriations of $1.1 billion out of the $7.5 billion appropriated for rail projects in 2012 (Sec. 1).
Specifies that earlier investments will ultimately be used by high-speed rail trains (Sec. 1).
Specifies that, if a corridor or segment is usable for high-speed train operation, the appropriation will allow high-speed trains to operate there in one of the following manners (Sec. 2):
Immediately; or
After additional, planned investments are made on the corridor or segment and passenger train providers benefit from the project in the near-term.
