Highlights:

  • Authorizes a “qualifying patient” to possess up to 12 cannabis plants and 6 ounces of cannabis for medical purposes (Sec. 4).
  • Defines “qualifying patient” as an individual who has been diagnosed by a medical practitioner as having a debilitating medical condition including, but not limited to, the following conditions (Sec. 3):
    • Cancer;
    • Glaucoma;
    • Crohn’s disease;
    • AIDS; or
    • Chronic pain, nausea, or seizures.
