Title: Establishes Driving Safety Cards for Certain Immigrants

Vote to pass a bill that establishes driving safety cards for immigrants who are current recipients of grants of deferred actions on deportation.
- Requires an individual who is a current recipient of a grant of deferred action on deportation to obtain a driving safety card before operating a motor vehicle (Sec. 2).
- Requires a driving safety card to include the following terms (Sec. 2):
- “Driving safety card”;
- “Not for identification”;
- “No lawful status”; and
- “Not acceptable for official purposes”.
- Classifies an attempt, with intent to deceive, to use a driving safety card for identification purposes as a misdemeanor offense (Sec. 2).
- Specifies that an individual who currently holds a valid driver’s license or special identification card other than the driving safety card is subject to the provisions of this bill upon expiration of the card (Sec. 2).
