Vote to pass a bill that authorizes breweries to lease coolers to retail stores.

Highlights:

• Authorizes a brewery to lease a portable refrigeration unit not exceeding 40 cubic feet to a retail licensee (Sec. A).

• Prohibits a brewery from leasing more than 1 portable refrigeration unit to a retail store (Sec. A).

• Authorizes a retail licensee to stock, display and sell any product in and form the portable refrigeration unit (Sec. A).

• Specifies that a lease may not exceed 5 years in duration and may not contain any provision that allows for or requires the automatic renewal of the lease (Sec. A).

• Specifies that the provisions regarding portable refrigeration unit leases shall become effective on January 1, 2017 and expire on January 1, 2020 (Sec. A).

• Authorizes any individual licensed to sell intoxicating liquor in the original package at retail to sell 32 to 128 fluid ounces of draft beer to a customer via a reusable container (Sec. A).
