Vote to pass a bill that prohibits the state from discriminating against an individual on the basis of "sincerely held" religious beliefs.

Highlights:

• Prohibits the state from taking any “discriminatory action” against an individual on the basis that the individual has the following “sincerely held” religious beliefs (Sec. 2):
• The belief that marriage is between 1 man and 1 woman;
• The belief that sexual relations are properly reserved to marriage; or
• The belief that gender is determined by anatomy and genetics at birth.

• Defines “discriminatory action” as an action including, but not limited to, the following actions (Sec. 3):
• An action that alters the tax assessment of an individual;
• An action that applies a fine or payment against an individual; or
• An action that denies state tax deductions for charitable contributions.
