- Prohibits the president from waiving, suspending, reducing, or otherwise limiting the application of certain sanctions until January 21, 2017, including the following sanctions (Sec. 1):
- Sanctions described in the “Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action”; and
- Sanctions described in another agreement related to the nuclear program of Iran.
- Defines “Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action” as the agreement signed at Vienna on July 14, 2015 by Iran, China, France, Germany, Russia, the United Kingdom, and the United States, with the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy (Sec. 1).
