Title: Prohibits Listing Lesser Prairie Chicken as Endangered

Vote to adopt an amendment to HR 1735 that prohibits the lesser prairie chicken and the American burying beetle from being listed as threatened or endangered.
Highlights:
- Prohibits the lesser prairie chicken from being listed as a threatened or endangered species before January 31, 2021.
- Requires the Secretary of the Interior to monitor and report annually to Congress on the progress of conservation efforts of the lesser prairie chicken under the Lesser Prairie-Chicken Range-Wide Conservation Plan of the Western Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies, known as the Range-Wide Plan, and all related conservation agreements, state and federal conservation programs, and private conservation efforts.
- Prohibits the lesser prairie chicken from being listed as a threatened or endangered species after January 31, 2021, unless the secretary publishes a determination, based on scientific evidence, that conservation efforts have not achieved the conservation goals established by the Range-Wide Plan.
