Vote to pass a bill that authorizes an individual to use cannabidiol oil to treat an intractable seizure disorder.

Highlights:

• Authorizes an individual to use “cannabidiol oil” if certain requirements are met, including, but not limited to, the following requirements (Sec. 1):
• The individual has, or is the legal guardian of a minor who has, an intractable seizure disorder and uses the oil only to treat the disorder; and
• The individual has a written recommendation from a licensed physician to use the oil.
  
  
• Defines “cannabidiol oil” as an extract from a cannabis plant in the form of oil that contains a maximum of 0.3 percent of tetrahydrocannabinol and is at least 15 times more cannabidiol than total tetrahydrocannabinol by weight (Sec. 1).
