Title: Establishes Vehicle Manufacturer Headquarter License Plates
Vote to pass a bill that establishes vehicle manufacturer license plates and exempts holders of the plates from state and local vehicle taxes.
Authorizes employees of vehicle manufacturers headquartered in Georgia to obtain vehicle manufacturer headquarter license plates for specific uses, including the following (Sec. 2):
As part of an evaluation, marketing plan, or for demonstration purposes; and
As part of a vehicle leasing program by the vehicle manufacturer for the benefit of its employees.
Exempts holders of vehicle manufacturer headquarter license plates from state and local vehicle taxes (Sec. 2).
Requires applicants to pay a $62 application fee in addition to the $12 cost for a vehicle manufacturer license plate (Sec. 2).
Specifies that the license plate expires after 24 months and must then be renewed or replaced (Sec. 2).
