Vote to adopt an amendment to HR 4660 that repeals a prohibition on the use of funds to release or transfer an individual who is detained at the United States Naval Station in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba to the United States.
- Repeals a provision of this bill that prohibits the use of funds to transfer or release to or within the United States an individual who meets the following criteria:
- The individual is not a United States citizen or member of the armed forces; and
- The individual is or was held on or after June 24, 2009 at the United States Naval Station in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba by the Department of Defense.
- Repeals a provision of this bill that prohibits the use of funds to construct, acquire, or modify a facility in the United States to house an individual located at the United States Naval Station in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba on or after June 24, 2009 for the purpose of detention or imprisonment.
