Title: Limits Duration of Unemployment Benefits

    • 20 weeks if the Missouri average unemployment rate is 9 percent or more;
    • 19 weeks if the Missouri average unemployment rate is between 8 and one-half percent and 9 percent;
    • 18 weeks if the Missouri average unemployment rate is between 8 percent and 8 and one-half percent;
    • 17 weeks if the Missouri average unemployment rate is between 7 and one-half percent and 8 percent;
    • 16 weeks if the Missouri average unemployment rate is between 7 percent and 7 and one-half percent;
    • 15 weeks if the Missouri average unemployment rate is between 6 and one-half percent and 7 percent;
    • 14 weeks if the Missouri average unemployment rate is between 6 percent and 6 and one-half percent; and 
    • 13 weeks if the Missouri average unemployment rate is below 6 percent. 
  • Defines “Missouri average unemployment rate” as the average statewide unemployment rate during the 3 months of the most recent third calendar year quarter (Sec. A).
  • Specifies that if moneys owed by the Unemployment Compensation Fund for total advancements by the federal government exceeds $300 million, the state Board of Unemployment Fund Financing shall meet to consider authorizing the issuance, sale, and delivery of “credit instruments” for the entire amount of the debt owed (Sec. A).
