Vote to pass a bill that prohibits the use of tanning facilities by minors.

Highlights:

• Prohibits an individual less than 18 years of age from using a “tanning device” at a tanning facility (Sec. 2).

• Defines “tanning device” as any equipment that emits radiation used for tanning of the skin and includes certain accompanying equipment (Sec. 2).

• Exempts any individual from the provisions of this bill if a licensed physician uses or prescribes that a “phototherapy device” be used with respect to that individual (Sec. 2).

• Defines “phototherapy device” as equipment that emits ultraviolet radiation and is used in the diagnosis or treatment of disease or injury (Sec. 2).
