Title: Prohibits Use of State Resources to Assist with Medicaid Eligibility Expansion

Vote to pass a bill that prohibits the use of state resources to assist with Medicaid eligibility expansion.
- Prohibits the use of state resources to assist with Medicaid expansion under the federal Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 (Sec. 2).
- Prohibits the state or any of its units from spending money, human resources, or assets in order to advocate or influence the citizens of Georgia in support of expanding eligibility for medical assistance (Sec. 3).
- Prohibits any entity of the state from establishing or operating a healthcare exchange or accepting any federal money in order to do so (Sec. 3).
- Prohibits the state Commissioner of Insurance from enforcing or investigating any health care insurance related provision of the federal Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (Sec. 3).
- Prohibits the state or any unit of the state, including the University System of Georgia, to establish or operate a “navigator program” (Sec. 3).
- Defines “navigator program” as a program where individuals authorized by the federal exchange act provide insurance advice to uninsured individuals seeking health insurance coverage (Sec. 3).
