Vote to pass a bill that authorizes certain individuals under the age of 14 to consent to immunization.

• Authorizes a child to consent to his or her own immunization under the following conditions (Sec. 1):
• The child is at least 14 years old and is committed to the Texas Juvenile Justice Department; 
• The health care provider has a valid consent form completed by a parent, managing conservator, or guardian on file; and
• The health care provider administrating the immunization has made a “reasonable” attempt to contact the person who completed the consent form and was unable to contact that person.
