Vote to pass a bill that appropriates funds for fiscal year 2014.
Highlights:
Limits an individual's eligibility for Reach Up participation to 60 months unless one of the following circumstances applies (Sec. E.323):
The participant is unable to work;
The participant is affected by domestic violence; or
The primary caretaker is in a 2 parent family where 1 parent is able to work part-time or is unable to work, is a single parent, or cares for a child older than 6 months and younger than 24 months while participating in a family development plan.
Specifies that individuals who reach the 60 month cumulative eligibility within the Reach Up program are still eligible for child-only grants and case management services (Sec. E.323).
Prohibits the 60 month cumulative eligibility for Reach Up from beginning until participants reach 22 years of age (Sec. E.323).
Authorizes the Commissioner to waive the 60 month cap on benefits if he or she finds that a family is in need of continued assistance (Sec. E.323).
