Sylvester Patton, Jr. voted Nay (Conference Report Vote) on this Legislation.
Title: Election Law Reform Bill
Vote to adopt a conference report that requires voters to present to the election officials at the polling place either a government-issued ID with a current address on it, or paychecks, utility bills, bank statements, or government documents that contain a name and current address. The bill stipulates that an individual who does not provide such information may vote by casting a provisional ballot by providing the last four digits of their social security number or by signing an affidavit. The bill also increases from 100 to 1,000 the number of signatures required to place an initiative on the ballot and requires anyone circulating a petition to be a citizen of Ohio.
