Vote to pass a bill that prohibits driving under the influence of marijuana if the driver's blood contains 5 nanograms or more of THC per milliliter of blood.
- Expands the definition of driving under the influence (DUI) to include driving when the driver's blood contains 5 nanograms or more of delta 9-tetrahydracannibanol (THC) per milliliter of blood, whereas existing law limits the definition to driving with a blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent or more (Sec. 1).
- Classifies driving, including the period within 2 hours after driving, when the driver's blood contains 5 nanograms or more of THC per milliliter of blood as a misdemeanor (Sec. 2).
