Vote to pass a committee substitute of a joint resolution proposing a Constitutional Amendment that allows students with disabilities or who are “economically disadvantaged” as defined by the Legislature, or meet other legislative criteria to go to nonpublic schools as part of their educational program during pre-kindergarten through college. The Constitutional Amendment also specifies that funding for public schools should be used primarily for classroom instruction.
