Vote to pass a bill that requires minors be accompanied by their parent to tanning facilities.

Highlights:

• Prohibits anyone under the age of 18 from using a tanning facility unless at least one of the following conditions is met (Sec.1):
• The individual has a written order from a physician; or
• The individual’s parent or legal guardian appears in person at the facility and signs a consent form each time the minor uses the device.

• Specifies that the minor’s parent is not required to remain at the facility for the duration of the tanning session (Sec.1).

• Establishes that it is a class C misdemeanor for an individual to misrepresent to a tanning facility that they are 18 years of age or older (Sec.1).
