Vote to adopt an amendment to HB 1007 that requires legislators to consent to annual drug and alcohol testing.

  • Requires legislators to be administered an annual drug test and a randomly administered breath test to determine alcohol concentration levels beginning June 30, 2012.
  • Specifies that a legislator may be disciplined or assessed a penalty if they:
    • Refuse to consent to a drug or alcohol test;

    • Receive an alcohol concentration level on a breath test that is greater than the amount allowed while driving in Indiana.
