Vote to adopt an amendment to HR 2401 that repeals the Environmental Protection Agency's rule limiting interstate transport of emissions.
- Repeals the Environmental Protection Agency's rule limiting interstate transport of emissions of nitrogen oxides and sulfur dioxide that contribute to harmful levels of fine particulate matter and ozone in downwind states (Sec. 5).
- Requires the Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency to set a date for compliance with an environmental regulation that is at least 5 years after the effective date of the regulation (Sec. 5).
- Requires the Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency to consider certain factors when creating rules including, but not limited to, the following (Sec. 5):
- The costs of achieving emissions reductions; and
- The potential net employment impact of the rule.
