    • That the pregnant woman has the opportunity to view fetal ultrasound imaging and an auscultation of fetal heart tone, if audible;
    • Information regarding fetal pain prior to 20 weeks of postfertilization age;
    • The fact that medical assistance benefits may be available for prenatal care, childbirth, and neonatal care;
    • That the father of the unborn fetus is legally required to assist in the support of the child; and
    • That there are physical risks to the pregnant woman in having an abortion, both during and after the abortion procedure.
  • Requires the pregnant woman to certify, in writing, that she has been offered the opportunity to view the fetal ultrasound imaging and hear the auscultation of the fetal heart tone, and that the pregnant woman has received or refused to receive this information (Sec. 9).
  • Requires physicians to terminate a patient's pregnancy in a manner that would result in the best opportunity for the fetus to survive (Sec. 7).
  • Specifies that the definition of a medical emergency does not include a patient's claim that the patient will engage in conduct resulting in the patient's death or substantial physical impairment (Sec. 7).
