Vote to override a veto of a bill that requires courts to recognize lawful notarizations from any state.
- Requires a federal or state court to recognize any lawful notarization made under the laws of a state other than the state where the court is located if the notarization affects interstate commerce and (Secs. 2-3):
- A seal of office is used in the notarization; or
- In the case of an electronic record, the seal information is associated with the electronic record in a manner that renders the record tamper-resistant.
NOTE: A TWO-THIRDS MAJORITY OF THOSE PRESENT AND VOTING IS REQUIRED TO OVERRIDE A PRESIDENTIAL VETO.
