Vote to pass an amendment to SSHB 1 that eliminates a tax increase on tobacco products and makes various other amendments.

Highlights:

-Eliminates a tax increase upon the retail consumer on tobacco products. -Eliminates the establishment of a committee to study the state-owned facility options for the populations of the youth development center, the state prison for women and the Shea Farm transitional housing unit. -Eliminates the additional $1 million appropriation reduction to the judicial branch for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2011. -Specifies that all proceeds from the sale of land owned by the liquor commission for the purpose of constructing, operating and maintaining a turnpike service plaza for motorists at the existing northbound and southbound rest areas in the town of Hooksett on Interstate 93 be deposited in the liquor commission fund.
