Title: Expansion of Gambling Operations Industry
Vote to pass a bill that expands gaming facilities in designated gaming zones throughout the state of Kansas.
-Establishes the "Kansas agricultural opportunity act," which will provide a framework for encouraging economic opportunity in rural Kansas through the expansion of horse and greyhound ownership, breeding, and investment (Sec. 1). -Requires the official breed registering agencies for horses and greyhounds to make recommendations to the Kansas racing and gaming commission for the implementation of programs that will maximize the benefit of economic development in rural Kansas (Sec. 3). -Requires the lottery commission to approve management contracts with prospective gaming facility managers and must take into consideration the following factors (Sec. 4):
