Title: State Employee Furlough Plan
Vote to pass a bill that requires state agencies and institutions to reduce the compensation of their employees as a result of the state's fiscal crisis.
-Requires that state agencies and institutions achieve a total of $10 million in compensation reductions for employees employed by general government state agencies (Sec. 2). -Requires the office of financial management to certify to each executive branch state agency and institution of higher education the compensation reduction amount to be achieved by that agency or institution (Sec. 3). -Authorizes each executive branch state agency, other than institutions of higher education, to submit to the office of financial management a compensation reduction plan to achieve the cost reductions that includes, but is not limited to (Sec. 3):
