Highlights:

• Specifies that a woman is not guilty of criminal homicide committed against her unborn child if any of the following apply (Secs. 1 & 7):
• The sole reason for the death of the unborn child was a refusal to consent to medical treatment, including a cesarean section;
• The sole reason for the death of the unborn child was a failure to follow medical advice;
• The death of the unborn child is not caused by a criminally negligent act of the woman;
• The death of the unborn child is not caused by an intentional, knowing, or reckless act of the woman; or
• The death of the unborn child is as result of obtaining an abortion authorized by law.
