Vote to pass a bill that appropriates a total of $1.12 billion from the Bonds Proceeds Fund to various agencies for the purpose of capital improvement projects.

Highlights:

-Appropriates $111.33 million to the University of Minnesota, and another $297.34 million to Minnesota state colleges and universities (Secs. 2 & 3). -Appropriates $153.68 million to the Department of Transportation for various construction and maintenance projects (Sec. 15). -Appropriates $143.34 million to the Commissioner of Employment and Economic Development for the purpose of awarding grants, including but not limited to, the Greater Minnesota Business Development Infrastructure Grant Program, the Bioscience Business Development Public Infrastructure Grant Program and various civic center projects (Sec. 21). -Appropriates $10 million to the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency to finance the rehabilitation of low-income public housing (Sec. 23). -Appropriates $13.76 million to the Minnesota Historical Society for the improvements and preservation of historic sites, buildings and landscapes (Sec. 24). -Authorizes the Commissioner of Management and Budget to sell and issue bonds up to $1.02 billion to provide money for funds appropriated from the Bond Proceeds Fund (Sec. 27).
