Title: Sale of State Plane

Vote to pass a bill that requires the sale of Mississippi's state jet.

Highlights:

-Requires the sale of the state Citation jet under the following guidelines (Sec. 1):

    -Creating an advertisement in at least 1 publication and 1 newspaper published by the State of Mississippi, with the first publication to be made not less than 15 days before the date upon which the auction will be held; -Holding a public auction to be held at a date set by the department, which shall not be less than 60 days after the date of notice of the auction by the department; or -Creating an online auction using eBay, with a minimum reserve requirement that is not less than the fair market value of the jet.
-Appropriates any earned proceeds from the sale to the state's Motor Vehicle Ad Valorem Tax Reduction Fund (Sec. 1). -Requires the legislation to be enacted from and after July 1, 2010 (Sec. 2).
