Vote to pass a bill that establishes the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta Conservancy as a state agency to "support efforts that advance both environmental protection and the economic well-being of Delta residents in a complementary manner."
Highlights:
-Establishes a governing board for the Conservancy consisting of 11 voting members and 4 nonvoting members appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the state senate who shall serve terms of 4 years (Sec. 1). -Prohibits the Governing Board from incurring any costs or obligations without the Legislature appropriating money for such purposes (Sec. 1).
