U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.) released the following statement on the nomination of former Oklahoma Congressman Brad Carson as Undersecretary for Personnel and Readiness at the Department of Defense:

"Brad Carson has done an outstanding job as Under Secretary of the Army, adeptly handling key issues for the Army to include force structure, training, readiness, infrastructure, acquisition and budget management. As a Congressman, Navy Intelligence Officer, Army General Counsel and Under Secretary of the Army, Carson has been accessible and a true servant throughout his career. He is the right person with the right tools and expertise to be the next Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness. I look forward to continuing to work with him to address the needs and advance the interests of our military."
