Standing Up For Those With Disabilities
Voted to strengthen the Americans with Disabilities Act
Championed Rosa's Law to eliminate the term "mental retardation" from federal lawbooks

Secured $115 million to construct high-speed internet access in MD

Supports legislation to provide benefits to same-sex partners of federal workers
Voted to allow gay individuals to serve openly in the military
