Rep. Johnson Earns "A" on League of Conservation 2014 National Environmental Report Card

Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04) announced today he earned a 91 percent from The League of Conservation Voters (LCV) on their 2014 National Environmental Scorecard, which tallies the performance of every member of Congress every year on key environmental votes.

Rep. Johnson's lifetime score is 94 percent, the highest in the Georgia delegation. His score of 91 percent for 2014 tied Civil Rights legend Rep. John Lewis.

"Protection of our imperiled planet is the central challenge of our time," said Johnson. "Climate change is real and threatens our health, the environment, national security and our economy, and I'm committed to working with anyone on Capitol Hill or in the White House to invest in clean-energy technologies and jobs."

"This year's Scorecard shows that while the world experienced the hottest year on record, the House recklessly trampled our environment, proving themselves nothing more than a carbon copy of their past three years," said LCV President Gene Karpinski.
